Don’t fail nursing school – Keep a schedule – Free Template
As I was going through all of my old files I came across the ACTUAL work & study calendar I created. I even saw time for a date night. Looking back, date nights did not always occur but we made an effort to do something together.
For those embarking in the nursing school journey while working other jobs – just know it is possible. You have to use what works for you and plan out your time.
So as you can see this was my schedule as I tackled nursing school prerequisite courses.
If you don’t know what they are these are the basic prerequisites you will most likely need to take and do well to be considered for a seat in their nursing program.
Nursing School Prerequisites
- Anatomy and Physiology I and II
- Basic Nutrition
- Biology
- Microbiology
- Pharmacology
- Intro to Psychology
- Human Growth and Development Lifespan
I have heard from many students that are interested in applying to nursing school, how did I make it working and going to school. As you can see I studied every chance I got. Nursing school (and the prereqs) gives you a ton of information that you must learn to become successful. Some of these courses may come easy to some and difficult to others. I made it a priority, more like a habit, to review SOMETHING during lunch time. (You should review some notes each day even if it is for 30 minutes.)
Here is a free basic template so you can work on creating your study/home/work schedule. There are more files in my SHOP that can help you stay organized. Don’t forget to check them out.
